What Is The Number One Reason to Hire a Life Coach? It’s Not What You Think!

What Is The Number One Reason to Hire a Life Coach?

Most of us wouldn’t ask a friend to fix the electrics in our house unless they were a qualified electrician, We don’t ask our wife or husband to teach us to drive (unless very brave) or to speak a foreign language unless that’s their day job.

Yet why does it seem normal to rely on our families and friends to help us achieve our life wishes and goals? many of which we never truly admit because we are worried that we will be judged,  how often do we keep our wishes secret?, especially with the weird tradition of not telling our wish each time we blow out the candles on the birthday cake.

And we mentally beat ourselves up if we don’t find the support and help with our dreams and goals from those around us, we think we are not worthy or there is something wrong with ourselves for having dreams, plans and goals or we think there is something wrong with our loved ones?

We don’t judge ourselves or our loved ones harshly if they can’t do something else that requires a knowledge or skill set, such as developing a website or fixing the washing machine. So why are we often disappointed when those around us seem incapable of being able to know what would make us happy, how to help us live a full life, or how to offer us constructive advice that we would actually listen to and follow through on.

Does this sound like you?  Have you’ve given up entirely? Have you’ve decided that you should just be content with your lot in life and you have hidden your dreams, plans, and desires deep inside you.

The next time you envy someone else who changed their lives and is now living their dream, ask yourself why you don’t believe that you deserve a skilled professional helping you identify your dreams and support you to take the steps required to achieve your goals.

Maybe you’ve never heard of life coaching, of being able to have it all, maybe you think it’s for other people, or maybe you think you aren’t worthy.

Let me clear up some common misconceptions for you around life coaching, the term encompasses coaching for any number of areas from relationships to finances to business to fitness and healthy habits. Life coaching is very popular with people of all ages throughout the world.

Clients and Coaches can be in different places throughout the world, as sessions most often take place by phone or video calls (my preferred method as you can see each other’s reactions, as often actions speak louder than words). My clients range from The United States, to Europe, to Australia and Hong Kong.

There are life coaches for every age group, life stage, ambition, dream and goal you can imagine. Life coaching is a process and requires the full commitment of the client. Coaches help clients identify blocks, challenges, and opportunities. Additionally, many life coaches are very accomplished in their own lives and are good at asking key questions to unlock their client’s potential.

There is a saying, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”

Great life coaches know how to ask you the type of questions that evoke the kind of answers that elevate the quality of your life. Additionally, coaches work with you over a set period of time to make sure that you follow through on your commitments. This is known as accountability and is a key element built into the coaching process.

So what is the number one reason to hire a life coach?

It’s to develop a better relationship with your loved ones.

That may sound like it is missing the point, however, let us look at it in more detail.

Many of us blame any number of circumstances and people for the quality of our lives. Though many different life situations and people do have an influence on us, choosing to work with a life coach means that you are taking fully 100% responsibility for your life going forward and not making excuses based on other people. This sets you free from the energy caught up in your past, those disappointments, failures, resentments, and any bitterness.

Furthermore, as you learn how to create a life you desire and see actual results, you will develop a greater appreciation for life and those around you. Your positive energy will influence how you relate to your loved ones. And your real life results may inspire those around you to pursue their own goals.

Your abundance of energy, your appreciation for life, and sense of responsibility will elevate the quality of your relationships. It will also mean that you remove the pressure you may have put on others to offer you advice, support, and accountability for your goals, so the time you spend with your loved ones can be focused on enjoying and truly appreciating each person exactly as they are.

You start seeing them as unique individuals instead of people who owe you something or have denied you something. In the process, you become stronger and more skilled at living a better quality of life.

When you are ready to invest in yourself, there are many incredible life coaches who have helped people just like you with a variety of goals, I can assist you or put you in touch with others that you might resonate with.

If you are thinking about hiring a coach to assist you and are not sure yet, why not try the free options and check out the quality of the coaching available, you can find the resources on the menu of my website under coaching options and also read how others have benefited from coaching.
